Rollergirls: The Story of Flat Track Derby

Dynamic black-and-white photographs capture the spirit and personalities of early flat track roller derby.

Documenting the Austin, Texas-based league where derby as we now know it began, documentary artist Felicia Graham provides an intimate, gritty, and honest look at the women considered the godmothers of the sport.

Full of characters and good derby names, this portrait of roller derby and its trailblazing athletes is an empowering tribute to fun and toughness in equal measure.
